Danna and Chris's Wedding

Danna and Chris's Wedding

This weekend we were honoured and privileged to be invited to Danna’s and Chris’s wedding at a beautiful country church in Stow, Scotland. We are more accustomed to seeing Amour Etoile her big moving mare and Astrologer her beautiful gelding been well turned out, but on this occasion Danna was the one who was beautifully turned out  and looked like a princess in her Cinderella wedding dress. A great day was had by all and I am sure you will join us in wishing Danna and Chris all the best for the future.

True Addiction before his class

True Addiction before his class

What a change in the weather, from competing in near winter conditions at the Staff spring show to competing in glorious sunshine here at the North West Group Show at Aintree. The facilities here are excellent and the air conditioning in the indoor arena was much appreciated on the day, keeping the horses and riders cool.

What Tack?

What Tack?

What is your favourite piece of tack or equipment?

I have many pieces of equipment that I use in my day to day routine on the yard, but they all have to be good quality, having the right gear can make a big difference to the results you accomplish.

My favourite piece has to be a French link full cheek fulmer bit, usually 4.5 inches in size as most Arabian horses are very fine featured and have a small mouth. I have various sizes to suit all horses and the majority of my bridles have this type of bit.

What is your favourite piece of tack/ equipment you cannot do without?

Shamil

Shamil

We would like to Congratulate Micheala Robinson on her success at the weekend with SHAMIL. She had a very successful day when attending Port Royal Equestrian Centre. This was Micheala’s and SHAMIL’s first outing since she bought this lovely gelding from Aklah Arabians.

SHAMIL was resident stallion at Aklah Arabians for some years before being gelded. He was imported in from Germany as a yearling, and has some of the best breeding in recent years. He is the Sire of the recently started gelding AKLAH KESTREL who is showing excellent potential as a dressage and ridden show horse.

We wish Micheala well in all her future outings.
